The Middlemore Guild : ウィキペディア英語版 | The Middlemore Guild
The Middlemore Guild was an association of merchants in England in the late 15th century, founded by Sir Richard Middlemore, who held the title "Lord of Edgbaston". This title was given to him by Sir William de Birmingham, a local landowner. The guild was active along the Midlands trade routes running from London to Nottingham, Bristol to Nottingham and Wales to Norfolk. ==The Original Middlemore Guild== Historically, the Middlemore Guild was formed of members throughout the country and was responsible for both the welfare of its members and the upkeep and protection of trade routes throughout England. Medieval Guilds existed to give support and protection to their members with issues such as payment, working hours, pensions, funeral expenses and looking after widows and families. The guild was named after its founder, Sir Richard Middlemore.
